Well it depends. Depends on what? It depends on your market, are there lots of Google Ads advertisers? And how much are they prepared to spend to be at the top of Search results?

It is widely known that being at the top of Google Search results gets the most clicks from potential customers. So Google allows advertisers to bid specific amounts that they are prepared to pay for a click for that keyword. This of course can create a bidding war and some Costs per Click are quite high. However, Google will argue that the cost is representative of the value of that potential customer.
